I was on the radio the other day, (in a completely bizarre set of circumstances, that involved me having just read about an obscure sci-fi series) and after talking to the host for a bit, she offered me the DVD series I had known enough about for them to call me, and put me on the air.
So, very shortly, I shall be receiving in the mail the DVD series from the 80's "The Tripods". I really have no idea what it is about, except what I read in a quick blurb in, the Australian film magazine, FilmInk.
Has anyone seen this show? Is it good? Is it as obscure as I think it is? I read in FilmInk that it was swapped heavily by bootleggers at sci-fi conventions before it's (fairly recent) release on DVD.
