So I'm watching this John Barrowman: The Making of Me thing on BBC America, where he investigates the origins of (his) sexual orientation. And I'm not... whatever. Not qualified in any professional or personal way to comment on either the researchers or the interviews they chose for illustration. But I'm curious, I guess, how much of it is about the correlation of this, that or the other thing between homosexual men and heterosexual women, and kids that don't conform to gender norms. I'm sure it would all be very interesting in more detail than was provided. Mostly, it was an hour of, "Okay John, you can relax, science says you're gay." I don't like John Barrowman enough to have sat through it, except I did.

And in proverb news, March appears to be trying to come in like a lion. No really, the weather here is totally ridiculous. It's super duper windy, and I'm on the very windy top of a very windy hill. There are these plastic (pvc, whatever) privacy walls between the units that are composed of 2x6-sized hollow planks. They all blew apart this afternoon. My patio furniture is not at all where it started out this morning, but I've given up dragging it back towards the wall, and I don't have room to put it in the garage. My compost bin blew over 3 times before I found a way to wedge it into a corner, and I'm going to need to replant the planter that I filled with leftover soil and wildflower seed on a whim, because it took a header, too. The good news is, the power hasn't gone out, and I didn't need to drive anywhere today. There were trees down everywhere from what I hear, and this afternoon was all sirens, all the time.
