Kyuhyun decides not to say anything, merely taking another sip from his soda, biting the straw before pulling it out of his mouth. He sighs, watching Ryeowook as he stuffs his face with food, claiming he hadn’t yet eaten that day and was in need of sustenance.
Kyuhyun has to admit that he likes watching Ryeowook eat. Not because of some odd fetish he had but rather, he likes how cute Ryeowook is when he gets various condiments on his cheek or his nose or sometimes, at the corner of his lips. That was the sinker for Kyuhyun, if anything.
He tries not to stare at Ryeowook’s lips, but they’re kind of hard to ignore when there’s mayonnaise (of all things mayonnaise) just at the point where his lower and upper lips meet. Kyuhyun catches himself looking a little bit too long, only to turn his head, attempting to keep himself from making the same mistake.
Ryeowook is too busy eating to notice. But he stops when he sees a napkin being handed to him, from a shaky hand that belongs to Kyuhyun. At first Ryeowook doesn’t understand just why Kyuhyun is handing him to the napkin but he puts two and two together. He asks Kyuhyun where to wipe, and Kyuhyun tells him, without once looking up or making eye contact.
Ryeowook wipes the mayonnaise off and continues eating, only to realize Kyuhyun isn’t doing the same. He asks “what’s the matter” but is met with silence from a clearly blushing Kyuhyun. The latter looks up, only to shift his eyes away, further embarrassed by Ryeowook’s sudden attentions.
Ryeowook smiles, and Kyuhyun suddenly looks at his nose, spotting a dot of mayonnaise that the other boy has just placed there. Kyuhyun can feel his cheeks grow hot but he loses focus, taking his finger to a small paper cup of ketchup and puts some on Ryeowook’s cheeks.
Ryeowook giggles, taking a napkin and wiping it only to retaliate by wiping that napkin on Kyuhyun’s face. This starts a bit of a war between the two, which ends when Kyuhyun suddenly gets up from his seat and sits in the one to Ryeowook.
Ryeowook looks at him, oddly, wondering just what is going through Kyuhyun’s mind. That’s when he feels a peck on the cheek, and a small murmuring he’s not able to fully make out.
He turns to look at Kyuhyun who has his head lowered, fringe covering his eyes and hiding his fully-reddened face. Ryeowook only knows his face is red because his ears are red as well. He smiles once again.
Kyuhyun looks up suddenly when he feels Ryeowook kissing his cheek (which is bright red and burning like fire, at this point). He looks at Ryeowook who just gives him a meek smile (he’s now blushing as well).
The two don’t share a word but when their hands meet and they’re clutching together, nothing really needs to be said.
