Because, obviously, I fail so hard at updating it all of the time. I always vow to make time to update it, but ehh... we'll see how that goes. :p I don't even have time to do things I love, like scrapbooking. I still have my scrapbook from October's trip to New York to do! Ugh. Anyway.
1) My busy-ness stems from the fact that I now have three jobs. Two part-time office assistant jobs, and I'm watching my newest little cousin two days a week. On top of that, I am taking online classes to finish my Bachelor's degree. I started them in June, and each course is only 6 weeks long, so it's very rushed and fast-paced. They say I should have my official degree in a little over two years, but my goal is to do it in under two. Which, oh yeah, I did graduate community college back in May! :) So, I do have my AA in Psychology and Sociology. Now I'm in the process of obtaining a BS in Psychology with a concentration in Criminal Justice.
2) My cousin did have her new baby! He was born June 4th, weighing at 8.1 lbs and measuring 21 inches. His name is Jacob Anthony and I couldn't be more excited to have another new little cousin in our family! Little Jimmy will be 7 in September and he's being the best big brother ever.
3) I've had an absolutely fantastic summer. Aside from feeling like I haven't really had one because I jumped right into going back to school after graduated, I've actually done quite a lot! My mom and my aunt took a trip to the beach for a week in June, and I went down for a day because I could. :p But I surprised them by bringing Little Jimmy with me--best surprise ever. :) We also took an impromptu family trip to the zoo--courtesy of me refusing to sit around inside all summer while we all had time off to do things together! But, yay me, I picked like the hottest day to go! Still we all had an absolutely terrific time. :)
And the best part of my summer... took a roadtrip to Chicago for Lollapalooza! :D As much as that financially drained my friend and I to go, it was probably the best week of my life. And certainly three of the best concert days I've ever had. Highlights of some of the bands we saw: Black Cards (Pete Wentz), Christina Perri, Foster The People (new favorite band, absolutely amazing), Muse, Skylar Grey, Patrick Stump, The Pretty Reckless, Eminem (one of the best live shows I've ever seen... hearing him live was life-changing!), The Joy Formidable, and Foo Fighters (in the pouring rain). On the way to Chicago, we stopped in Cleveland to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and then stopped in Gary, IN to see Michael Jackson's childhood home. Chicago is absolutely beautiful and I feel like it's now one of my top places I'd love to live someday. Ugh, the whole trip was just perfection! Everyday since, I've just wanted to go back. :( And not only just to re-live Lollapalooza all over again, but just to experience more of Chicago! Twelve hour drive. Just me and my good friend from middle school. Awesome music. Could not get much better.
Then I came back and went to the beach again with family. Yeah, that was okay. Nice to get away (er... stay away) I guess, but like I said: I just wanted to go back and re-live Lollapalooza! Nothing could top that! But now I'm looking forward to something else. Even though I got to see Patrick Stump (and Pete Wentz) in his (their) hometown of Chicago, playing a festival is just not the same as playing a real tour date. As amazing as it was. And especially since I missed both of Patrick's dates playing in Philadelphia and then in DC. So... I'm making a trip to Vegas to see him! I could not be more excited. And I feel completely lame for it, but I don't care! :D I, of course, went to Vegas for my 21st, but I'm excited to have a real weekend just drinking, gambling, and seeing Patrick. :D SO. PUMPED. And yes, I realize I am, for once, going to Vegas for completely different reasons than seeing Criss Angel! Woohoo.
So... there's been my life in a nutshell. Really, really good, just really, really busy for so many different reasons. Was not ready to enter the real world again after being gone for the past two weeks (August 3rd-14th I was away), so now I'm excited I have something else to escape reality for, haha. :)
Laterrrrrrr.
