It certainly has been a while...
I guess school + work + trying to have some sort of social life catches up with my livejournal-ing abilities. :p
Just some short recap of what I've been up to:
1. School and work, obviously. I'm graduating in May with an AA in Psychology and Sociology. :) Then I'm trying to start my Bachelor's degree right away in June, in Psychology with a focus on Criminal Justice. The program I'm interested in has a "Bachelor's Plus" option, which means I can work on my Master's Degree at the same time, so I want to try to do that, as well. I still have the same job... going very well! I just interviewed for a second job, though. Trying to really establish myself and be independent.
2. Turned 21! Finally! :) And celebrated by going to Las Vegas with my momma. It was so much fun and a complete blast, but when we got home, we both were sick for the entire month of March, and that was horrible. :(
3. Saw Travie McCoy, with Black Cards (Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy's new band). Amazing show, and got to meet Pete! FINALLY! :) After like 8 years! Got to tell him that Fall Out Boy saved my life in high school, and got to show him my FOB tattoo. He gives amazing hugs, also. ;) ...And then I walked away and cried hysterically from happiness, lmao.
4. Saw Patrick Stump (on Friday, actually). His show was AMAZING. And he's so damn cute, lol. Got to meet him as well. :) And even though Patrick's always been "my man ;)" haha, I was so calm and collected and no tears were shed! :p
5. Tattoo updates: when I met Patrick, I got him to sign my arm, so I had that tattooed. :) He was very taken aback when I asked him to do that, though. lol. I think he was just very humbled and not expecting someone to want that from him. Back in January, I also got my Green Day piece. It's on the side of my arm, and it's the heart grenade with lyrics from "Holiday": "I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies".
6. ONE LAST UPDATE: OMG, I can't believe I almost forgot this! My cousin and his wife are expecting baby #2! Little Jimmy is going to be a big brother! :) Last weekend was their baby shower. They're having a boy, Jacob, and he's due at the end of May. Time sure has flown! She has 7 weeks to go! I'm so excited to have another little baby in the family. :)
Hopefully I'll start making time and elaborate on some of these stories, and post some pictures. I've had a pretty extraordinary past 4-5ish months! Couldn't ask for anything better. :) Miss it here, though!
