Me: "I think I'll take the tools out and cut up some wood bits."
Ninja Rainstorm: "Nu-uh. Take that!" *instant buckets of rain*
Me: "Dammit."

I know. Riveting, huh?

Today and tomorrow off. Go me. In an effort to ward off what looks like an oncoming Bad Mood*, I'm going to try writing a Game Review. I'll post it later. Brace yourselves.

Also, the Game Developers Conference is this week. My work's got about four or five roomfuls of game designers in it. Personally, I think this is awesome, and spent a decent part of my day just trying not to be a fanboy to 'em. Not that I know who any of them are; I don't track game designers. I can barely remember game titles

But my take is this: smart people doing smart, complicated, creative things, that they enjoy, and getting paid for it? Those people should be role models. Musicians, fine. Movie stars, okay, great. Celebrities, yeah, c'mon in. I've met all of those, and aside from meeting Neil Gaiman, none of it really seemed like a big deal. Apparently my brain is saving any extra effort and attention for the high-geek-percentage professions.

God help me if we ever house a convention of astronomers or astrophysicists.
