So, here in the UK the Easter holidays are coming up, I believe that’s known as Spring Break to some of you too. As I’m now at uni, I’m running on an academic year timetable. With my time off, I’d like to organise an event and do something useful. :D
What is it?
It’s what it says on the tin! We’re going to spread the love around our fandom. Every day I’ll post a theme. This could range from a rating, a fest that’s posting or has posted, a trope, a setting, a character. It could be anything! And all you have to do is read/view/listen to something and comment! Think of all the happy fandomers who’ll be motivated and want to create more!
How does it work?
So, every day a post will go up with the theme. As a comment to that post, you’ll be asked to leave a link to your comment/s for the day. I’ll be keeping a tally of what’s going on and you'll be awarded points -- a leaderboard will be posted with the top love-spreaders!
Where is it?
It’s here on hd_writers. Another poll has gone out over on merlin_writers for a similar BBC Merlin event if anyone is interested over there too!
What can we comment on?
Anything! The only limit is it has to be Harry Potter -- so it's not even limited to a pairing if you want to read something else! It can be fic, art, podfic. The sky’s the limit.
I understand most of you won’t have time off, but it’s a no stress, all fun event. You don’t have to read a 10,000 word fic for your comment to count, in fact there’s no word limit either way. As long as it fits the theme. It could even be something you’ve previously read/seen/heard and thought ‘I should really leave this person some love’ but didn’t have time. As long as the comment is new, it still counts.
What do I have to do?
There’s no need to sign-up, taking part is your sign-up. Please fill out the little diddy poll below so I know if anyone’s interested or not, and when people would like it to be held. That’s all. Tick two little boxes and go bonkers! Any questions are welcome too :)
Poll Taking 2 secs to answer these would be really helpful :)
