I am really glad you liked the story. It was experimenting for me, and I wasn't sure anyone would like it, so reading this first comment and knowing that you got xactly the point of the story made me really proud. Thank you very much for reading.

I find drug addiction fics to be rare in this fandom, especially non-magical drug addiction fics. I like the way you've approached this, keeping the more sordid details under wraps, but letting us lift the flap and peek through just long enough to get a good, long shudder at what we see, and then moving on, pressing on, toward the finish. Like overcoming an addiction, rather: you keep moving, you keep going, and even though there are setbacks, you have to learn to accept what you've seen and done, and move forward toward healing.

I didn't want to write a highly rated fic because of the dark details of the addiction, so I had to imply them. This was my chance to learn about what a strong addiction like this can do to people, to the addicted and to their families and loved ones. I am glad you liked this enough to review. interesting fic. unusual, too. i don't think i've seen harry being addicted to muggle drugs before. i liked that you didn't reveal at first what was wrong with harry, or why he left. i thought that maybe something was out of control with his magic b/c he said he didn't want to hurt the children. i'm very glad harry came back, and the interview pansy gives lets us know that things are still okay in his family. oh, and i liked the mpreg, even if it was only implied :).

I just wanted to tell a fluffy story about how they were living their lives together, but then the plot struck me and it turned out to be dark. Of course, I had to throw in a bit of journalism, because it's what Harry will be facing during his whole life, having vanquished Voldemort and married Draco; but his own experiences weakened him, and not even the love he was bound to feel in order to kill Voldemort can save him.

Draco is always portrayed as someone who is reticent to feel, who is "cold" but I didn't like him that way for this story. I guess this needed a Draco who felt, who really felt the pain of having to say goodbye, even if Harry is feeling it too, because Draco has to stay at home, without him. I think this is what I tried to express here.
