Squeeeeeeee, thankyouthankyouthankyou! This was a wonderful story, nothing that I expected but still very much a well written piece that I am fangirling myself all over ^_^.

I really like the present-ness of the story, if that makes any sense. By focusing on the facts and consequences of Harry's addiction in the life that he and Draco have built, you make it seem almost as if it is just one piece in the puzzle of their lives. And by doing so, you give me the impression of depth and richness by leaving out the hows and whys of their children, their trials in gaining acceptance, their building a home together, etc.

I loved that you set the story in the past, future and present. It gives it a sense of continuity that ties in with the life long struggle Harry will have as a recovered addict. I'm so glad that you included Pansy in the story, especially in the present, being interviewed by the Sunday Prophet. All of her parts were like tiny cuts of reality, of the nosiness of the public and how intrusive their need to know is. It lent a sharp edge to the story that I really liked.

I must admit that I tend to like my Draco a bit more emotionally reticent but your characterization of him worked well here. Worrying about what to wear on their first date, asking Harry to marry him, getting on a plane for the first time...his entries had me giggling and sniffling. Thank you again for writing me such a lovely story, you've done a great job and I couldn't have asked for anything better ^_^

You're very welcome, dear!

I just wanted to tell a fluffy story about how they were living their lives together, but then the plot struck me and it turned out to be dark. Of course, I had to throw in a bit of journalism, because it's what Harry will be facing during his whole life, having vanquished Voldemort and married Draco; but his own experiences weakened him, and not even the love he was bound to feel in order to kill Voldemort can save him.

Draco is always portrayed as someone who is reticent to feel, who is "cold" but I didn't like him that way for this story. I guess this needed a Draco who felt, who really felt the pain of having to say goodbye, even if Harry is feeling it too, because Draco has to stay at home, without him. I think this is what I tried to express here.

I'm beaming here that you liked this, and I'm sorry I didn't reply before, but I wanted to reply to this with my username, not just like any other anonymous commenter.
