“You are a Malfoy forever,” Lucius said, and Draco felt pride.
“Slytherin forever!” the Sorting Hat proclaimed, and Draco felt relieved to be Sorted into his parents’ house.
“You are a loyal Death Eater forever,” Voldemort said. As Draco suffered through defilement, he feared that would be true.
“You’re a traitor forever!” Weasley screamed the day Draco joined the resistance. Draco shrugged. Potter believed him, and that was what mattered.
“You’re mine forever,” Harry whispered, and Draco, contemplating the torturous path that had brought him to this point, smiled and tucked his head into his husband’s chest.
“Forever,” he agreed.
