Draco lay still as the noise around him slowly subsides. He turns his head to the side and opens his eyes. Darkness lingers in the corners of his vision. He feels strong hands reach under him, lifting him up. He doesn’t remember how he ended up on the ground, just a burst of red light and then darkness.
He looks at who his holding him, carrying him away from battle. A rough voice comes again to his ears. “It’s alright, Malfoy. The battle’s over. We won, in case you’re wondering. But no one knows that you’re still alive. Only me.”
