Do I turn my pets weird, or attract weird pets?

Ki (my dog) left a head on my bed. A snake head, to be exact. The rest of the body was suspiciously missing... >.>
I've come to the conclusion that Ki has an identity issue. She thinks she's a cat (brings me 'presents' and plays with her prey). She thinks she's a rabbit (hops while she runs and has a strange fondness for carrots). She thinks she's a squirrel (attempts to climb trees and squeaks a lot). And she often thinks she's a male (lifts her leg when she takes a piss...still not sure how that works).
I think I should hold an intervention... Ki needs to accept that she is a dog!

Anyway, I grounded her for the snake head thing. She wasn't allowed off her bed for a few hours. (Yes, that's her punishment. I don't believe in physical violence, especially on children. And Ki is my daughter.)
I mean, I wasn't punishing her for hunting. She's a terrier/min-pin mix canine. Just a plain old natural hunter. But I do not want her hunting snakes. Fuck, she could end up trying to bite a water moccasin or something next time. Luckily, this one was just a baby racer.
