Just advising my Net has been down since Saturday night (I'm thinking that storm may have done something to the modem or the phone line), and I may be without it for a few days yet. Borrowing Jo'h's computer for the moment to post this.

I have a fucking nightmare on my hands now that the computer's been fixed. Most problematically, all of my Microsoft Office programs are gone, and I've done something to fuck up the sound controls so now I'm unable to hear a fucking thing over the speakers (and yes, they are plugged in and the sound was working when I started the machine).
