CTRL ALT setlist and photos

Dec 16, 2008 15:30

For the two of three of you who may care, here's what I played at CTRL ALT last Saturday:

Wire, “Reuters”
Killing Joke, “Adorations”
Curve, “Already Yours”
The Jesus & Mary Chain, “Head On”
Pop Will Eat Itself, “Can U Dig It?”
Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, “Kill Your Television”
The Stranglers, “Walk On By”
Airiel, “Airtight Angels”
Slowdive, “Morningrise”
The Fall, “Rowche Rumble”
Faith No More, “Midlife Crisis”
The Cult, “Spiritwalker”
The Damned, “The Shadow of Love”
Chapterhouse, “Breather”
Apoptygma Berzerk, “You and Me Against the World”

Our venue this time was the Supper Club room at the Oxford rather than Gilligans, and I took these photos of the space while Brian was DJing. I don't know, the room didn't work somehow. It was a perfectly lovely room, don't get me wrong, even if that space under the DJ decks was a potential death trap, but somehow it didn't seem like the sort of room in which I should've been playing the stuff listed above. And frankly I missed the walls changing colour. Oh well.

A gaggle of dancing drunkards.

It was worth going there just to get this photo. Let it be a lesson to you all that if you really feel the need to demonstrate 80s techno dancing, don't do it when I have a camera at hand.

And this wasn't taken at CTRL ALT but at Die Maschine where I put in a bit of an appearance. highlandish's new do just had to be recorded for posterity. It wasn't the mohawk itself that took me aback, it was the blonde dye job.
