well, it's over. I passed. I must say though, after the first five minutes of my presentation I was hit with a question that I was sure my response to would be grounds for failure. In the end though it all worked out ok. I don't really have much more to say on that. I wasn't even too terribly nervous.

This week has been busy and hectic. Actually, make that the past few weeks. I've had more late-nights in the past 3 weeks or so than I've probably ever had before. It's strange, lately I've seemed to be the most optimistic and excited about the impending horror which is my qualifier exam at the end of the day before going home. I was just informed that my grade for the class I'm taking is an A- so now I have very little grade-motivation to finish the last homework or do the project though I recognize the benefit in both towards my specific research goals... I keep having mood swings regarding my confidence with my impending qualifier exam. I have now set a date of May 9th, the very last day of exams, which at first kind of sounded like far enough away that I'd have no problem getting everything done in time but now I find out I will be in Panama City, FL for the last week of April doing field work.
