We just had a fantastic Labor Day weekend, with the ALS Association being chosen as the official charity of DragonCon 2012! The bean counters are still working to calculate all of the donations, but they told us that the "Chucks for Fiver" shoes by themselves made over $1000!  Woohoo ( Read more... )

And to help bring some unique, wearable, one-of-a-kind items into the mix, We've set up a web site to help connect artists with people who can donate Converse sneakers ("Chucks") for them to paint.

For those of you that don't know, This is the weekend that a bunch of awesome friends are going to run the Disney Princess Half-Marathon to raise money for the ALS Association of Georgia, a group that funds ALS research and helps families like mine who are dealing with ALS.

Tonight, Fiver's Team received an award for being the #3 fundraising team for the Walk To Defeat ALS. The award is shaped like a foot. While Yes, this is a perfect shape considering the event was a Walk, It felt like we won the "Athlete's Foot" award ( Read more... )
