I fell down in blackberry bushes so my forearms and wrists are covered in red slashes. It looks really SI. It was worth it because we got almost nine pounds of blackberries. I can't wait for tomorrow, when I eat a shameful amount of pie.
Update on my window air conditioner crises: Damnportlanders was full of shit. Brad asked the apartment manager what happens if we didn't put plexiglass in instead, and he said it just meant that he had to do annoying paperwork and we got some kind of paper in our "file" saying that we did not comply with their request. No eviction, no fine, nothing dramatic. I changed it anyways because I don't necessarily want to aggravate my apartment manager personally. I do hate the plexiglass, however, it was more expensive than everyone led me to believe despite its flimsiness and tons more sunlight enters the living room, which I will not be remedying by hanging up towels in front of my window as suggested.
I've been riding my bike to and from work (7 mile commute!) the past several weeks. I was feeling awesome about it, a much less depressing/stressful commute than Trimet transfer hell, and actually faster, but these past few days of commuting I was harassed three times. (As a control, when I am not sitting on a bicycle I am rarely harassed.) So now I'm kind of stressed out and not feeling so awesome. My commute is within the most bike friendly part of town but obviously that means nothing when there's a few very aggressive drivers. I guess it's upsetting when you spend thousands or tens of thousands of dollars on a car and someone on a bike that cost less than 200 dollars has just as much right to the road. Which is so. Idiots.
