I didn't know there was a NaNo in May--I thought it was November. Interesting.
Why do I procrastinate? Because I can. Because my procrastination activities are usually much more interesting that what I'm supposed to be doing--though on the rare ocassion, I'll procrastinate on doing homework, by, say, cleaning my room, which is not fun at all.
When I sit down, finally wanting to write, my favourite procrastination activity is usually "research" that goes off on all sorts of interesting (but off-topic) tangents--mostly Wikipedia's fault, for linking everything so well. Sometimes I don't even realize that I'm procrastinating, haha. I've developed a rather bad habit of stalking crossovers100, hoping no one's claimed Hibiki Ryouga (Ranma 1/2) yet because I want to claim it--though I should probably get in the habit of writing things before joining something as crazy as that.
It is a very rare moment indeed when I sit down determined to Not Procrastinate and Get My Damn Homework Done Now mode and carry through with it. I'm just a not very motivated type of person; somehow I've become way too laid back, haha. Maybe there're drugs for that.
