a matter of scale
Just in case anyone was curious...this is how tall Ichigo really is. He's standing next to my 9"x12" sketchbook. (that reminds me, I need to get one for Rukia and fill it with bad art.)
Yes, he's THAT big.XD I still find him a little unwieldy as his legs tend to go sproing while his back flops around (if only the tension in his leg strings would transfer to the ones in his torso joint!^^;)
Even though I had seen 60cm BJDs prior to owning one, it had never really stuck in my mind just how tall 60cm is - till I looked at a yardstick and realized oh my god they're 2/3 of a yardstick tall.o_O
:edit: and Rukia will soon be on her way! :dance:
I put "PLEASE REPLY" in the subject of the message I sent the seller tonight, and she replied straightaway (this after hearing nothing for nearly 4 weeks^^;). Her faceup is in progress, and she can ship next week. With any luck she'll be here for my birthday. ...and hopefully I won't have to go out to KLIA again to get her.^^; I don't *mind* driving out that far as long as there's a doll to be got, but... it is far.
:edit2: Oh and here's a weird little twist... I found out that the flower for May is lily of the valley, so I decided to put some of that in my calendar page... and then I remembered that my Rukia's sculpt name is also Lily. Cue spooky music, please.
