Operation Pants, Take 1
I just realized that in all my cosplay endeavors, I never even once thought about making pants from scratch (hakama don't count)...and now I know that I must have been subconsciously aware all that time that pants are fiendishly hard to make. >:( Further bedevilment occurs if the pants-wearing subject intends to sit at any time. Even boy's pants are subject to the rule of the tuckus. Even boy dolls' pants.
Yes, I tried to make pants for Ichigo tonight. Failed quite spectacularly.^^; The trick, I note, is that pants do not and must not taper to the waist.^^;;;; I was using leftover calico anyway, expecting to fail, so it's no biggie....and it's too late to start over. Ah well! Learning is half the battle! ...but still, damn.^^; Now I know why pants took so long to catch on for humans.XD
