A reasonable day......

Today started off rather badly. I appear to have a throat infection which is affecting the back of my mouth (around my gums), my throat, and my ears. It is making me feel really feverish. However, I went into work as usual, as I want to maintain my zero sick day record, which I have managed to keep since I started my job nearly six months ago.

I had a work experience pupil shadowing me today. It turns out he actually went to the same school as me (William Farr), so the morning went a little more quickly than usual, as I was able to remenisce my school days with him.

I got my first G-mail account last night, which I am very happy about. I'd been after one of those for quite some time, and had little success in acquiring one. Luckily my friend and work colleague, Arno, had some invitations to give away, one of which I gladly accepted.

Work went ok, though I made a pretty major indescretion by saying to one of the business consultants that we should be careful to make sure that we only employ technically apt people in our department, while in earshot of a colleague who is struggling with the technical side of the job and I am supposed to be training up. She confronted me about it, and I had to go to great lengths to convince her that I was not referring to or making a personal attack against her.

Donna's mum is out of hospital tonight. I am supposed to be going bowling with Donna, her brother and sister. We are going for a meal afterwards so I am not sure whether or not the mother will be coming out.

Anyway, I will sign off. Donna has gone food shopping with her sister, and I am waiting to be picked up to be taken bowling. I am going to play a new game I have downloaded, locomotion. I really should be playing on my X-box as I want to unlock a few cars in Rallisport challenge, so that I can thrash my components on X-box live.
