I saw The Da Vinci Code tonight. Thought it was going to be 2 1/2 hours of paint drying but it wasn't at all that bad. Definitely not good - uninspiring leads, substandard pacing and story, not to mention being based on a novel not that great to start with - however, not the godawful dull I was expecting. Time went more quickly than I expected and it was vaguely entertaining, if only trying to match it up to memories of the book. Also, it had Sir Ian and Jean Reno in it. Don't think I'll be buying it on DVD, though. It could be that expecting so little made it seem more redeemable than it actually was.
