Below is the women versus men's choice book meme, which I saw on secritcrush's LJ, and which I imagine has to do with this obviously flawed study, though in a way it says a lot about people's psychology, just not perhaps what it thought it was saying.

Whisky? Ick. *shudder* Never been able to stand the stuff. I learnt to drink Guiness when I was small, courtesy my Dad, but he never managed to persuade me that whisky tasted anythign other than nasty.

It does. Tastes worse if you dilute it with water, but better with milk. Still think I'm more of martini/wine gal, though.

It just depends what kind of whisky you have.

Usually if you add a touch of water (this helps release the smells, which in turn helps the taste), take tiny sips and run the whiskey around your mouth, you can't go far wrong.

Whiskey tasting is more of a poncy art then wine tasting - so... go figure???

Nope - can't stand the taste of the stuff at all. In fact, I can't stand the taste of very many spirits at all (vodka is usually OK, although the really cheap stuff can be quite vile; and stongly fruit-flavoured liquers like Limoncello and Cointreau aren't too bad), but whisky tastes particuarly bad, I'm afraid.

Oh - Creme de Cassis (Blackcurrant Liqueur) might be worth a try ;) It's yum.
