Berries the size of coconuts, or just STUPID?

Too busy right now to post anything substantial, but this one had to be shared ... Most of the time the Craiglist scammers don't write back when I tell them I won't accept their check or money order.

Him: What do you accept?

Me: Only cash, or US Postal Service Money Orders, as stated in the ad

Him: That is acceptable. Please send requested information etc, etc, continue with standard scammer closing-the-deal boilerplate

WTF? This idiot is going to forge a GOVERNMENT money order?

Can you say "open( can[ whoopass ] );" ???

I'm not going to write back, but I'll admit I'm curious: would he truly send a fake post office money order? Or would he send some other money order which will arrive about the time an email does telling me that due to clerical error they did the wrong amount, etc etc ... the standard scammy stuff ... and hope that once I have a big $$ order in my hands, greed will take over common sense and I'll give in and accept it?

And as a former lottery-office worker (WAAAAY back when), I find myself wondering if there's any chance he's gotten his hands on stolen, blank USPSMO forms. Some of the best forged tickets we saw were on stolen ticket stock. But that's another story ...

humor, fraud
