Crazed Labradoodle
So i spent my entire weekend dog/cat/fish/housesitting for some family friends and their dog, the labradoodle, is certifiably insane!! you may wonder what a labradoodle is....it is a cross between a labrador and a standard poodle. he has a lab head and tail, and the curlyish fur like a poodle. totally cute, but man, he is a crazy one. he tended to be totally angelic during daylight hours but as soon as the sun went down he got a little wild. usually this meant grabbing whatever clothes he could weasel out of my bag upstairs and drag it all over the house. tshirts, shorts, pjs, even my bra were strewn about the main floor when i wasn't watching him for 5 minutes. his favorite game is to play tug-o-war with a old winter glove. you yank and yank on it until he gives it up then throw it across the yard for him to run after - he whips his head violently while running full speed back towards me - mainly just slapping himself in the head with the glove. i get a lot of laughs out of this dog, but he wears me out!
i got to talk to miss katie persons this weekend though. she was in the outer banks of north carolina with her family (oh how i wish i could go back there!) and wanted to compare notes about alyssa's wedding. we should probably get things figured out soon.
otherwise, i have an interview tomorrow morning and i am a bit nervous. a very good friend of mine works for the organization already which i always feel adds a bit of pressure to the interview - you don't really want to act like a total dork when your friend has spoken up in your favor already! keep your fingers crossed. then its off to my next housesitting job. basically i am drifting from house to house for the next 2 and a half weeks, then its off to michigan. at least it brings in some money while the job search continues.
