Title: starting to sink
Genre: Slash, angst, get-together, drama, first-time
Rating: R or NC17, likely, though I'm not there yet.
Pairings or Characters: Danny/Steve, the team.
Type of beta you'd like: I'm painfully new to the fandom and just watched the entire series so far last week, so I'd like someone who wouldn't mind discussing characterization with me if they think I need help. I also have this nasty habit of writing too fast and switching words and letters, so eyes on grammar and spelling would be helpful.
Length: This will be a stand-alone, approximately 3,000-5,000 words. It's not done yet and I'm wordy, so it could be more.
Short Summary: Danny's had a rough time, between everything that's happened to him recently, and everything that's happened with the team. There will be spoilers in this story for the current season. I guess this is a sort of character-study on him to get me used to the fandom, but it's mostly an idea of what could happen after 2.03.
The actual summary I'm planning to use is:
Steve puts a hand on Danny's back and something in Danny's chest diffuses slowly, like heat off a pressure cooker or more accurately, like a bomb being dismantled piece by piece.
