Offering Beta Services

Sep 21, 2011 21:15

Genres you will beta: Action, Humor, Drama, Casefic, Crossover(If I'm familiar with the other canon or there's no real need for knowledge of the other canon), Fluff, Slash, Gen, Deathfic (so long as it's not graphic descriptions of gore or torture), PWP, Smut, AU

Genres you won't beta: Kidfic, Het, Mpreg, BDSM, RPF, Horror, Gore, a laundry list of kinks -- just ask

Pairings you will beta: Steve/Danny, Steve/Chin, Danny/Chin, Steve/OC, Danny/OC, Chin/OC, Kono/OC -- I'm happy to do het pairings that are on the periphery, I just prefer to beta slash main pairings in this fandom.

Pairings you won't beta Steve/Kono, Danny/Rachel, Danny/Kono, Kono/Mary, Steve/Catherine, Steve/Governor Jameson, Danny/Governor Jameson, Jack McGarrett/Governor Jameson

Maximum rating you will beta: any

Gen or Character studies you'd beta: any

Gen or Character studies you won't beta: none

Beta strengths: grammar, spelling, plot, canon, flow

Beta Weaknesses: I know nothing about Hawaiian culture

Length of the fics you'd beta: Drabble, Stand-Alone, Multi-chapter

Any other info: Something that should be considered when asking me to beta for you: I don't tend to sugar coat. If it sucks, I'm going to tell you. I'll try very hard not to be harsh about it (I do tend to be a bit more tactful than "This sucks monkey balls. FIX IT!"), but sometimes I slip up.

Squicks include a laundry list of extreme kinks. Won't do watersports, blood or pain play, scat, necrophilia, gore, or torture. I am extremely squicked and turned off by any kind of ejaculate play. There's probably a few more I can't think of at the moment. If you're not sure, just ask.

I usually have a decent turn-around time, but if you have a deadline, PLEASE let me know when you're requesting help. I am involved in a couple of other comms, offering beta services, so I need to know so I can make sure I have time.

crossovers, !beta offer, flow, deathfic, action, gen, pwp, fic length: multi-chapter, plot, humor, americanisms, casefic, smut, rating: nc-17, spelling & grammar, fluff, au, slash, drama, canon
