Sometimes it's obvious I haven't done my research.
Like. Okay. I have a character who likes guns way more than I do. Who would definitely refer to them by brand name way more. This happens a lot to me and I've been lazy about it for YEARS. I learned the bare minimum for Stargate fandom and let it slide. I'm so bad for someone who loves military science fiction, but the minutia of weaponry is not really what I like about it.
I'm going to have to hit up my gaming books for resources. I don't really want to accidentally google my way into a 2nd Amendment* rabbit hole.
Thankfully, I have spy game books (thank you, 1980s TSR publishing!) that give you lovingly-detailed explanations of all the guns you want so you can James Bond it up with your characters. I just have to find them. I don't want to spend the time. /lazy
