Supernatural: I have quit you for good, stop trying to get me to watch you.

NOT EVEN FOR AMANDA TAPPING, WHOM YOU CAN READ ABOUT AT THIS LINK.

Tapping will play Naomi, a character showrunner Jeremy Carver describes as "cool and mysterious, part of a new group of angels we’ve never seen before."

...

The original casting breakdown for Naomi called her a "no-nonsense bureaucrat" a la Matt Damon in The Good Shepherd. "She wears a business suit and has her hair pulled back," read the notice. "However, Naomi is less together than she appears to be. Her efficient manner belies a deeper emotionality."

Girls. So emotional! Gets in the way of their rationality! Probably her emotions will lead to her dying or something else terrible befalling her. That does tend to happen in Supernatural.

Maybe Amanda will break the mold; she was kind of playing the Final Girl in Stargate. Sometimes I think of Stargate as a series of horror films, and Sam Carter is the Final Girl of the series. NOT THAT I'M BITTER OR ANYTHING. But still! Look at all the women on Stargate, especially the ones that were regulars: She actually ended up in the best position at the end of all three series as compared to any of the other women. You know, NOT DEAD, not stranded far away from home, in a relationship (with Jack or Teal'c or anyone you think she might be in a relationship with, thanks to ambiguity from the PTB), and presumably still climbing her way up the promotions ladder thanks to intelligence, bravery, ingenuity, and sheer competence.

The only other person on SGA who was a regular to end up in that kind of a position is Keller, and that's only because they didn't have more than a couple seasons to screw with her. (Do not be hating on Keller in the comments here. BY THE WAY.) I also love Vala huge, amazing amounts, but let's not forget that she was never able to return home and was kind of making the best of things on Earth.
