I think their names are nods to Phillip Marlowe and Lew Archer? At least that is what I am assuming since the writers are all huge fans of the genre in general?
Adored Apollo and the little contest between him and Parker was fantastic and squee inducing.
Eliot. *flails* Speaking Hebrew. *thud* In the wet, black wifebeater. *ded*
I love, love, loved Eliot asking Sophie if she was talking about Nate or the other guy. Team interactions were fantastic and and *flails*
Awesome episode! Parker & Apollo were just sooo adorable together! I want all the other crew to come back again sometime! They were too awesome! And yes, wet Eliot in a vest... *thud*
Also... *bounces* SEASON THREEEEEEEEEE! *squeeeee*
The scene in the ventilation shafts was adorable beyond words!! And the fight scene with the steam and the ripped clothing and the handcuffs was hot beyond words too... damn this episode made me want het! I also have this notion that Chaos was Hardisons mentor/partner for a while but they split badly after Chaos cheated and or screwed Hardison over cause there was so much tension in Hardison whenever Chaos was talked about... also I wanna know what Hardison's hacker alias is....
also I wanna know what Hardison's hacker alias is.... You should ask at Rogers' blog... That's one of the things I meant to ask, and totally forgot about...
though i had a fridge moment with regard to sophie. When she's talking to nate she says something along the lines of "i know when their parents died" which, granted, is a resonable thing to know about one of your aliases. but looking back the way she said it kind of seemed to me like all of her aliases parents was dead. I just seems a bit creepy. maybe i'm reading too much into it.
also, the eliot kiss. i am adding this to the list of things that should be standard per episode. work it in JR, i have faith in you.
As for Sophie... it is a bit creepy, but I also think that dialog wise, making the clarification that not all of her aliases parents died would be awkward and clunky and detract from the moment. Also, most grifters draw from their own lives for their aliases. It's possible her parents are dead, and she's just pushed dates and situations around to meet her needs...
