I am full of grumpy. So I will blog about it! it's my understanding that this is how things work.
okay I won't actually blog about my grumpy, that wouldn't be interesting. not that this WILL be interesting necessarily but.. thing?
went to Orlando this weekend. ate too much, shopped a bit. Watched Hogfather, which I'd already seen, and wished they were showing Colour of Magic, which I haven't, but sadly Colour of Magic isn't Christmasy (Hogswatchy) so it probably won't end up on TV at all. If you don't know Discworld this paragraph has been gibberish. Go read some Terry Pratchett, you heathen.
My Yuletide fic remains unfinished, my brain goes "ack ack ack!" quietly at all times. I've got Wednesday off, I aim to have it done and uploaded by then. ack. I'm sort of still going "what was I thinking??" but I've been having fun and hopefully it'll turn out well. I'm just kind of annoyed with myself since I'd meant to get it done this weekend and that.. didn't happen.
Random fact that only people into SGA fandom might understand: I will never read "Freedom's Just Another Word for Nothing Left to Lose." ever. I can't even stand to read about it.
I never did my big post about Harry Potter (I'm not doing it right now, either) but I will mention that I just finished listening to the Jim Dale audio book of HBP. I enjoyed it a lot, actually. Certainly more than I did when I read the thing. That might have to do with Jim Dale's awesome and varied voices (so many voices!!! lolz!) but also might just be because the story itself is more interesting when you already know where it's going and how it will lead into the next book. Which I loved. A lot. One day I will do my epic post of my relationship with Harry Potter through the years! But until then, just to be clear: I totally and completely loved Deathly Hallows. Even the epilogue. SO THERE.
Speaking of good things ending: Boston Legal series finale. I totally wouldn't even have known it had aired if not for retronami! I am a bad fan. but I watched it on teh internets and omfg BEST ENDING EVER LOOOLZ <3 <3 <3 I will miss it, because it consistently makes me very, very happy, but fortunately it's already in syndication so at least there's that.
I might do a thing asking for addresses but I might not actually have time for such a thing so... maybe I'll send new year's cards or something? if you'd like to link me to your address-collecting posts, please do! I'm terribly behind :( But I love getting cards!
