Being Sensitive and what goes with it.

Hi!
I’ve had some people show interest in the fact I’m a sensitive. So... I asked the mod if I could post some information (what I know so far) about it here to answer everyone at once, and at the same time include some experiences I’ve had with it.

I like the 'throw up a wall' thing to keep bad feelings from getting at you. Since I had a dream in which i had large red wings, I started using those as a sort of mental Sheild. If I feel panic, I imagine them flaring up and the panic flies away. Thank you for shedding some light on my question, if I get any more questions, I'll turn to you ;) 'oh no! Youve created a monster!!' -_-"" I think it's time for sleep. Gods all bless

That's very interesting. If you don't mind my asking, do those wings continue to figure in your dreams?

Interesting. My wings are white. They've been in my dreams for almost six years now. Not every dream, but quite frequently. My sensitivity has grown since then, as well.

It almost sounds like a child. One from a time BEFORE headphones, and they're fascinated with them. Curious about them, trying to not be noticed by you but wanting to know more about the headphones. Next time you see them move very calmly and in a normal voice say something like, "They're headphones. I can listen to music with them and it won't bother anyone else in the room." Maybe even try, "Would you like to listen to music?" Plug them in, put on music. See if anything happens. After that just occasionally talk to it. It might eventually let you know why it followed you. To find out if it is trying to communicate I'd try a little tape recorder if you have one. If not maybe setting a digital camera down, and let it video tape you talking to it? It might capture it ( ... )

You can certainly inquire around. Most places have a few people who give psychic readings, read tarot, or something of the like. Making a few phone calls can tell you if one of them would be willing to come to your place and read the energy there. I assume this only really happens at your place? If it happens at work or elsewhere sometimes then perhaps going to see the psychic first might give you some information ( ... )

I do have a question; Is it possible to be able to feel when someone closest to us dies? I have had two instances where I have felt the moment of death for two people very close to me; my aunt and my best friend's mother. With my aunt, I felt this immense pain in my chest, like something was squeezing my lungs tightly closed, and it passed within a minute. With my BF's mother, I felt as if I were weighed down and my side where my liver is hurt, as if something was poking it with a knife. Now, I don't know whether that's just because I was close to them or if my being Sensitive had something to do with it, making me feel it but it terrified me.

Throughout decades we've heard of people who "woke up at the same time their loved one passed" or "felt an extreme sense of grief and sadness the moment they passed" or "I knew they died even though they were on another continent. I just knew!" Do I believe we are more tightly... woven, I guess, with some people than with others? Absolutely! Consider this: ever seen someone, perhaps while both of you are in line waiting for something, and you gravitate to talking. It feels like you've known them for years! It just clicks. Or you see someone, and you have such a strong sense of having known them before, but you wrack your brain and don't know how you could ever know them! (this just happened to me! Actually not just to me, but that's a whole new story) So when you're connected to someone that strongly you sometimes get a sudden urge to just call them to find out if they're okay. Maybe you had a bad feeling and thought of them at the same time. You call and find out they're sick or lost their job or something. Or maybe you call them ( ... )

Sleep paralysis has a scientific explanation. It happens when we wake up during the paralysis our body experiences during REM sleep, so you're basically still dreaming while you're awake and paralyzed.

Yep, I've heard that. Not saying it wasn't that, and not saying it was. Just saying what my sister observed that one night, and the fact my aunt thought I had a raging fever the very first time I experienced it. Of course, I do believe in mind over matter so maybe that caused it, but there's always that niggling doubt.

If you are a sensitive, but you try to avoid it, is it possible to close yourself off to everything supernatural around you? My mother is convinced that I am sensitive because of things that happened when I was a child/teen, but eventually I became a devout Catholic and prayed to close myself off from seeing weird things... and aside from a tendency to know when people will die (a week before, I get a "warning" feeling about the day of their death), I haven't seen anything else.

It's possible to deny what is going on around you. It's like the premise that children and animals see fairies and other wonderful things that adults don't because we stop believing. Things could still happen around you, but you wouldn't notice them so much. Just like many other things, trying to stopper or plug it up completely could happen, but somewhere down the line some experience in your life could bring it all back like the gushing waters pouring from a dam. You can protect yourself by shielding yourself from most of it. No matter the faith you follow (I was born and raised Roman Catholic) there could be a reason God gifted you with this talent. This much I believe strongly in, and fate does not like it when you try to interfere with their path set out for you. Just be careful in the decision you make. Even psychics and clairvoyants cannot predict their own futures so we cannot see what lies ahead on the road for us. The choices we make say which road we'll travel, and what is at the end of that road.
