Well, this weekend didn't start out well for me. My daughter wanted to visit for the weekend and we thought it would be a good idea to have her bring her cat since her cat and our cat pretty much grew up together ( Read more... )

Ow. Did they give you some antibiotics or something like that so you can keep it all clean? Cat scratches and bites are supposed to be very nasty.

Yes. Antibiotics and a tetnus shot to boot. They also gave me pain pills but I find I don't need them so am not taking them. I am also changing the bandages everyday and using a surgical scrub to keep everything clean.

Runt...? That was the name of my first cat. She was black, the runt of the litter and first to open her eyes or walk....

K's cat is a grey egyptian type cat. Don't know the exact breed because he really is a mutt. He too was the 'runt' of the litter and had to be hand fed because the other kitties kept pushing him away from the mother.
