NaNoWriMo
I don't have time for NaNoWriMo this year. :-(
But I am stubborn and will be doing it anyway. :-)
For people who do not know, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. nanowrimo.org is the official website. Participants promise that they will write 50,000 words during the month of November, an already hectic month full of thanksgiving, final-paper writing and black friday shopping. If you finish the 50,000 words -- even if those 50,000 words are horrendous!! -- you win. Winners get personal satisfaction and an icon that says they win. Weee!
I've participated --and won!-- the past two years. My NaNovels remain un-edited, sadly, but nevertheless they are there for me to CONSIDER editing. what an accomplishment!
My main point of this entry is to find out who else is interested in taking part in NaNoWriMo. Part of the fun is encouraging others. I will be posting my story as I write it on my personal livejournal haunted_sunny . If anyone is interested in cheering me on (and I'm dead serious about the cheering. I don't want ANY constructive criticism until after November is over) and letting me cheer THEM on, message my livejournal, make sure you tell me who you are, and I will be happy to add you to my friend's list and more specifically, my NaNoWriMo private postings. Lucky you! :-P
