April Showers bring...intense scorching weather?

This entry is mostly out of boredom, and procrastination, since for the next four weeks I'll be working my butt off to get some major assignments done and overwith. I've already been a good student and finished an assignment ahead of time, and it's more or less of a challenge for me to complete all my other assignments and papers long before their due dates. Let's see if I can break out of the procrastination mold I was stuck in for the last three years...

On a different note, I'm steadily becoming more excited and more nervous about leaving. I keep telling myself I'm not going overseas, but I guess at this point the anticipation is putting worries into my mind. Heck, I'm already packing my clothes away and trying to organize what I'll be bringing in what box. I don't know if it's a proper coping method to deal with said anticipation or what...I think if I start taking down my posters now, that's a step too far.

Funny thing: over Easter weekend, I rushed home and spent Saturday night and all day Sunday with my family, and played with my new laptop. But I left it at home. I had some thought that it would get damaged en route back to my on-campus apartment because I don't have a travel bag for it. (Don't worry, I'm getting to what's "funny" about this whole situation.) I turn on my desktop in my room, and what does it do maybe 10 times in a row? It overheats and shuts down. It's been doing this all week as if it knows I'm not taking it with me to Orlando and that I'll be replacing it with a shiny, Windows 7 laptop. At least it's still working now, been running for the past two hours with no problem after writing a drama piece, checking Facebook, playing Left 4 Dead for 20 minutes, browsing the internet, and doing online homework. It was shutting off on me when I tried starting it up I-don't-know-how-many times today. Talk about bipolar.

So now I have to find a way to get my laptop down here because I've got a feeling (woo-hoooo, that tonight's gonna be a good niiiight...) that my desktop is going to die when I'm trying to do something crucial, like take my online exam that's this weekend. Ugh. At least the weather's nice. Oh yea! The weather is too nice for it's own good that it's scorching everything. I checked Weather.com to find that my area had a heat fire warning or something along those lines. It was blistering today. Unbelievable. The hell happened to all the awesome thunderstorms before summer? It's all going to happen soon, the weather is actually supposed to drop down a moderate 20 degrees, so it won't be an oven for much longer.

Well, I'm at the point where my eyes are about to pop out of my head from staring at a computer screen for three hours, and it's late-ish anyway. G'night!
