Chapter 1
"Repulsive," Jaejoong muttered, his eyes following the drunken people on the dancefloor as he gulped down another vodka martini. It was his fifth drink that night, but even the alchohol hadn't made the world seem beautiful like it usually did. The people danced like there was no tomorrow, clinging to each other and feeding on the energy of other's, all desperately trying to find someone to sleep with that night. Jaejoong found it disgusting, he didn't want to lie to himself and make himself believe spending a night with a stranger would make his life any better. It would just make everything messy, and Jaejoong liked things clean.
Jaejoong hated his life. Other people didn't see things like he did or maybe they just didn't care. Jaejoong could see through everything and yes, maybe he was bitter and a pathetic excuse of a human being but he saw things as they really were. Fucked up.
Sighing, he left the peace of the booth he had been occupying to get out of the club to buy cigarettes. Another night of meaningless living, Jaejoong hoped it would all just end already. Suicide wasn't an option, death wouldn't be any sweeter. His life would be the same whether he was alive or not - empty and in vain. His steps were uneven, the alcohol in his system making his movements a little uncordinated as he made his way to a seveneleven, then leaving it with a pack of cigarettes and an energy drink in his hands.
The men and women who walked past him all seemed to be somewhat drunk, Jaejoong felt like he didn't belong amongst them, though he was intoxicated as well. Nobody saw what he saw, the futility of everything was a fact only Jaejoong could understand. All living and dying in vain, from the cradle to the grave. Jaejoong stopped before a trainstation to light a cigarette. It was already around 5 am and people were starting to pour out of the clubs, some busy people already leaving for work. The sun was still down though and it looked like it was about to rain soon.
"Got a cigarette?" someone suddenly asked him and Jaejoong turned around to tell the stranger to get lost but instead, he saw a gorgeous man, probably around his age, standing close to him. His skin was olive brown, golden even and his eyes were dark, so dark. Jaejoong didn't care about appearances, they were on the surface after all but this man was enticing. His voice was sweet like sugar, seductive and husky, strangely, it made Jaejoong feel like a girl.
"Sure," Jaejoong said, offering his pack of Marlboro's black menthols to the guy, lighting the cigarette after he took it. The man's lips sucked on the cigarrette, there was a small mole above his upper lip that caught Jaejoong's eye. He was dressed in a simple black hoodie and jeans, and Jaejoong noticed his shoes were expensive looking leather.
"Wanna fuck?" the guy asked, totally surprising Jaejoong who had been staring wide eyed at the tall stranger. The cynical part of his brain was telling him to just leave it, the man was probably huge douche because of his good looks but Jaejoong's heart told him otherwise. If the man had been ordinary, he wouldn't have even spared the guy another glance.
"Sure," Jaejoong said again and when the tall man grabbed his hand to make Jaejoong follow him, Jaejoong noticed it was cold as ice.
"Where are you taking me?" Jaejoong whimpered, hating the way his voice came out but the man didn't stop until they were in a secluded alley, pressing Jaejoong hard against the brick wall on their right. The man's breath was ghosting Jaejoong lips, they looked into each other's eyes and what Jaejoong saw, he had never witnessed before. Those weren't the eyes of a ordinary handsome guy, just staying out late on a Friday night looking for someone to hook up with. There was so much depft, so much emotion, like the man was actually a hundread years old. Jaejoong breathed in, regretting going along with the stranger. It felt like he was in trouble when the guy placed his hands on Jaejoong's waist, gently going up and down his sides.
"You smell really nice," he complimented, his tone huskier than before. Fuck that voice is hot, Jaejoong thought, it made his knees feel weak. The feeling of being in danger didn't go away, it was like his primal insticts were telling him to run, but Jaejoong couldn't. He definitely was onto something with this guy, no other men had ever made him feel like this.
"Thanks, I guess," Jaejoong mumbled, feeling stupid for not coming up with anything smarter to say. The man didn't even seem to be listening to him, his gaze was fixated on the first buttons of Jaejoong's shirt as he lifted his hands up to open it. Jaejoong was breathing fast, all his senses going haywire. Why was his body filled with adrenalin? Jaejoong had never felt so high on just having a random one night stand in a public place.
"You're gorgeous," the man complimented again, his ice cold hands caressing Jaejoong's neck, "I haven't had one as beautiful as you in a long time."
"You do this a lot, huh?" Jaejoong said, word vomit coming out of his mouth before he could stop it. He couldn't make his mind and body co-operate when the weird guy was being so close to him, finally pressing their bodies flush against each other. The guy was all muscle, his physique firm and cold, Jaejoong wrapped his arms behind the stranger's neck, not caring about his body still telling him to run for it.
"Aren't you scared of me?" he asked, leaning in closer until his lips were grazing Jaejoong's neck, "Your body feels so good..."
"No," Jaejoong lied, his eyes fluttering shut from the feeling of having the other man so close to him, "You're clean aren't you?"
The tall man chuckled at that and pressed his lips to Jaejoong's neck, making the shorter man moan out loud. He was so hard already, trying to pull the lips gently kissing his neck closer and Jaejoong's mind went blank, allowing his body to take control. But then, suddenly there was harsh pain on his neck - the other guy had bit him and was now sucking at the wound. When his body started to feel even weaker, Jaejoong realized he was bleeding a lot, the blood loss was making his eyes grow tired but it still felt good, so good that Jaejoong was in absolute bliss.
The man was holding his body so tightly, he felt so strong and perfect, Jaejoong clawed at his back, desperate for more. He didn't even realize he was whimpering, feeling so close to coming just from the stranger sucking at his neck.
"Yunho," he moaned, grabbing the guy's hair, urging him to continue but the man pulled back, his expression shocked because of what Jaejoong had said.
"How do you know my name?" the man asked, wiping his mouth from Jaejoong's bright red blood. Jaejoong lost his footing when Yunho wasn't holding him up anymore and slumped down on the ground, slamming his hand on his neck to try to stop the blood from flowing. How hard had the guy bit him? Jaejoong's hand was all wet from the red liquid.
"Don't go," was all he managed to say before the man was gone, leaving Jaejoong bleeding in the alley, all desperate and needy for release. Jaejoong was starting to panic, the blood was still gushing from his neck and he realized he was going to die here. His life flashed right before his eyes and Jaejoong felt stupid, his life had been completely wasted, he hadn't done anything that mattered. He didn't have friends or family, his parents had passed away when he was only 6 years old - no-one would care if he were to die here. If he would make it out alive, he was going to change everything.
Life was ment to be enjoyed and Jaejoong had spent it hating on everything, he hadn't even been in love for God's sake! And now, it was all coming to an end. How sad, Jaejoong thought as he lay there dying before his mind left him, making Jaejoong fall into a deep state of unconsciousness.
When he woke up, the sun was already up and he was sporting what seemed to be the biggest headache of his life. He was still lying on the ground, feeling weaker than ever before as he sat up, checking his pockets and finding his wallet and cellphone gone. The events from last night came rushing back to him, Jaejoong grasped his neck and there it was, a deep wound that hurt a lot when Jaejoong touched it.
The touch to the wound send tremors down his spine, the memories making his blood boil and the name was on his tongue again. Yunho. How in the world had the guy almost managed to kill Jaejoong? Slowly standing up to his wobbly legs, Jaejoong leaned against to wall to make his head stop from spinning. He didn't care about the lost credit cards or the money, he still had his life and the keys to his apartment, and he didn't really need anything else. Jaejoong started walking home, he didn't have money to buy a train ticket and he severely doubted anyone would give him even a nickle looking like that.
People stopped on their tracks when Jaejoong walked past them, but he didn't care. He just wanted to make it home, take a nice long shower and think. The first thing that came to his mind was that Yunho was a vampire. He knew it was totally ridiculous, but it was the only thing that made sense. No ordinary human would be able to pull Jaejoong in like a moth to the flame and bite him so hard Jaejoong had almost bled to death. When he got home, his theory turned out to be even more believable.
There were two deep wounds in his neck when Jaejoong looked into the mirror, awfully looking like something with a pair of sharp fangs had caused it. The skin around it was really sore, the cuts were probably infected with something Jaejoong didn't even want to know of. The shirt he had been wearing was ruined, the blood had stained the expensive fabric all over. Making his way to the shower, Jaejoong stripped out of his clothes and sat on the bathroom floor, letting the steamy water fall onto him but his body wouldn't stop shaking.
Hugging his knees to his chest, Jaejoong let out a sob. If the bleeding hadn't killed him, he sure was going to die from the infected wounds. His neck felt weird, the skin was burning and throbbing but all he could think of was Yunho. Jaejoong remembered everything, the striking eyes and the way Yunho had held him. Why would he leave Jaejoong there to die? Had he just intended on feeding from Jaejoong, something Jaejoong had done making him flee before he could do so? He remembered knowing Yunho's name even though the other man certainly hadn't told him that.
After sitting in the shower for almost an hour, Jaejoong got up and wrapped a soft towel around his quivering body. He had to find Yunho again, but where in the world would he start looking for the stranger? Seoul was a big city, it was like trying to find a needle from a haystack. Something made Jaejoong determined to try anyway, if he found Yunho again, he would make the other man explain everything to him. With that thought in mind, Jaejoong went to bed and pulled the covers on top of him, desperately trying to make the coldness coming from inside of him go away.
I wanted to draw just simple pictures of Jae and Yunho in this fic ^^
