Today's stupid accident is misjudging the length of the laptop's charger cord and yanking the plug out sideways, breaking it. (Fortunately, breaking the power cord half, not the laptop half, as happened last time I had a laptop-power-cord accident.) Looks like I'll have to ration my laptop use until I can acquire or kludge a replacement. Sheesh

I sliced my left index finger right at the joint with the bread knife yesterday, while trying to cut a frozen loaf. I do not recommend this. Because of the serrations in the blade, I wound up removing a thin slice of flesh rather than just cutting it, and, though it took a while to bleed, it later hurt like a motherfucker. (Still does if I put pressure on the bandage.) I'm glad it's just a power cord for you this time.

Sounds unpleasant. I also didn't remove any flesh (though for a moment I thought I'd cut the ball of my thumb clean off, it was a much smaller cut than that.)
