Groggy Beginnings
Thank God today is pay day. With the influx of much needed funds, I can go grocery shopping, sign up for an additional Praxis II test, and pretty much do all the things I enjoy doing i.e. drinking copious amounts of liquor and other adult beverages.
I've also finally decided that as soon as I have some time this summer I am scheduling a visit with a doctor and getting myself prescribed some sort of sleep helping agent. I'm unaware if it's an official "problem," but for years I have never had a full night's sleep all the way through. On average I probably awake five or six times a night for no reason (thus having to wait maybe 10-15 minutes before going back to sleep). Hence, I always wake up tired. Last night I went to bed at an amazing hour of 8:00pm because I couldn't take it.
Oh well. Students have a test on Egypt today, and I swear if they all fail it I will have pretty much given up on them. I spelled it out for them yesterday (EX: These five questions could be on the test WORD FOR WORD!). Some of them just look at me like "whatever." Especially my first period. Last test not a single one of them passed. I'm looking for them to correct that this time around.
Only about three weeks left. Prom is coming around the corner, and I think I'm chaperoning. That will make me feel uber-old. I have a cheerleader crawfish boil this weekend which should be a good time.
Hell, it's 5:43 A.M. already? I have to get ready.
