One problem with shipping: when you go to pair yourself with a character, you automatically think "Oh, but I couldn't bear to break them up!! D:" It's sad, really lol. Anyway, after much deliberation and many sad attempts at being more realistic, the winner is... Jacob Black. *runs away from anti-Twilight mob*
I read Twilight for the heck of it, fell in love with Jacob, and continued reading the series only because I wanted to read more about him. I NEVER want to meet an Edward Cullen (come on, he's an over-protective, emo creeper), but someone like Jake? Heck. Yes. (he's also more realistic so it's more of a possibility... *shot*)
