Fangirl Time :D

Ugh, since I've been horribly neglecting this journal, I'm just going to go on a random fangirl spree, okay?

Skillet

I FINALLY got to see Skillet in concert last weekend! They were amazing!! They played all my favorite songs, and the lighting and pyrotechnics (yay for FIRE) made them even cooler. Man, when those flames went off, you could immediately feel the heat in the air. The whole thing got me so pumped up I couldn't sleep afterwards, and was instead listening to more of their music (while envisioning the awesome lights from the concert). I absolutely LOVE John Cooper's voice and it's so much fun to see the band really get into their music while they play. Seriously, if you ever get a chance to see them in concert, DO IT. I'm going to see them again the next chance I get.

Random quotes from concert:
Cooper: We named our band after a frying pan!!!!!!!!
Cooper: I can sing one of two ways- raspy... and raspier.
D: He has beefy arms. K: and they're glistening. XD
Cooper: I'd like to dedicate this song to my lovely wife right over there, well, because she's just that cool.

Eyeshine and JYB

Bah, yet another con performance and it's in Texas. *sigh* Really now, they pretty much circle around the US (California, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, etc), but never come to the Midwest. Despite my anime fangirlness, I'm not going to a con unless I know that Eyeshine's gonna be there. Eyeshine at a con means concert, Eyeshine panel, and Johnny Bosch panel, all things that I've been dying to go to. Even better if I could get a picture with the band. :)

I'm kind of sad that Tori's leaving the band :/ I was really starting to like him. And it was only fairly recently that Alex left the band too (I miss him and his love of ketchup! lol). *sigh* Well, I guess that's how it goes sometimes.

And speaking of Eyeshine, I'm dying waiting for updates on the new CD(s) D: I know they're working on it since I've seen a few Twitter updates about mixing the tracks, but that's about it. Before MPK came out, they had a few rough tracks up on their Myspace, but as far as I've seen, there have only been two released for Afterglow (and those were uploaded during the summer T.T). Must... feed... fangirl *dies* (hm.... that probably made me sound crazier than I really am... eh, oh well ;))

On a somewhat related note, Johnny's going to be in a new film called Love Like Bullets. It doesn't appear to be as martial arts-heavy as Broken Path and Hellbinders (both very entertaining movies for those of you who haven't seen them yet), but I'd be in shock if there weren't any awesome stunts at all. Johnny also did the screenplay, so we'll see what he can dish out.

More randoms: Maurice (Eyeshine's drummer)helped in the filming of the movie (and also took part in some amusing on-set photos XD). Stephanie Sheh and Yuri Lowenthal are also going to be in the film.

Bleach

So is anyone else dying for the anime to get back to the Ichi v Ulqui fight? I couldn't believe it when they started it and then were like "nope, time for fillers, suckers!"
Oh well, at least the manga is finally picking up :) HA! to those who said I was crazy for thinking Aizen was manipulating Ichigo's hollow powers (come on, everybody's his pawn :P). Now I just want to know why. This also leaves some potential for IchiHimeness... or at least something to do with Orihime (I miss the dear girl!! T.T). There hasn't been anything about the aftermath of Ichigo's hollow transformation. I mean, Orihime and Uryu have to be talking about it at least a little. And Orihime has to get a chance to get out of her low self-esteem funk D:

love like bullets, ichihime, orihime, bleach, johnny bosch, jyb, skillet, eyeshine
