So I took my driver's test for the second time yesterday and had to wait for the result to come through the mail. I totally didn't expect it to arrive today, but it did and the tiny transparent piece of paper said 'Favourable'... which basically means I got it, I finally have my driver's license, woohoo!!!
I'm freaking ecstatic at the moment cause driving lessons are insanely overpriced and all my savings went into them. So yeah, I can finally drive... well as soon as I have a car. I guess that's going to be next on my list of "things I need to save up for, when I finally get a job!"
In any case, what an awesome way to start the year! 2008, I'm starting to believe in you :D
Oh and also, I finished season 1 of Rome and finally managed to download the JKR documentary, which was everything I expected it to be.
First of all Rome... simply brilliant! I loved it from beginning to end and didn't get bored at any point. I really recommend it if you haven't seen it yet as the acting, costumes, set and filming were amazing. To those who have watched it, did anyone else cry in episode 11 when Lucius Vorenus fights for Titus? I got so emo over the whole episode, I didn't realise how much I loved those characters until then. I've desperately been trying to find an icon of that scene since then, but no luck yet!
As for the JKR documentary, I was nearly in tears... again! As I was telling
reallycorking I thought it was very interesting since it showed us JKR's private life, something we don't see very often. And of course, they made it all very emotional since they talked about her mum who died before she published PS/SS and then they took JKR to visit her old flat (which I thought would be a lot smaller since she was only living on benefits at the time) - so yeah, lots to cry about, lol! What did you guys think of it?
Right, well I'll be back in London on Sunday and then uni starts again for me. I'm still struggling with my essays but now that I've no longer got my license to worry about, things should go a lot quicker! :D
