Sleepless in Pre-Battle!
Aw man! we are getting so close to that episode, I can't wait, I can't wait. Unfortunately I watched this episode to get there... My apologies for the unfunny commentary within. I was seldom amused.
Mini-Synopsis: Ash wants to have his gym battle against Byron *squee* but unfortunately he is not there. Then a mysterious nightmare plot is revealed. Will the people of Canalave ever get a good night's rest again?
At first, I thought I liked this episode, but then I found myself feeling very confused. It's probably because I didn't get the point of it. There wasn't really any main theme going on. It was just an excuse to have Cresselia and Darkrai together (because they're in the games and are both connected to Canalave). I mean we start out with the hopes of a gym battle, but of course that does not happen.
Ash I think it would help if you actually went inside to ask for a match. Shouting at a building is rarely helpful... LOL at his sad face.
As much as I love Canalave and Byron and steel types... what is with this gym design?
Without a gym battle, we are then introduced to the "plot" of the episode. No one can sleep because they're all having nightmares. OH NOES!!! I have to say I liked this buff-looking gym ref character. (Did he have a name? I forget) He was amusing. Can't wait to see him again.

So instead of a gym battle, Brock and Dawn suggest OMG SHOPPING! but due to the Plot, nothing is open. Leaving only one thing to do, which is apparently to go visit Officer Jenny. Jenny (I liked her hat) further reveals Plot. Ash & Co. are shocked.
OMG DARKRAI IS IN THIS PLOT!!!
Ah ha ha ha... no Darkrai as of yet. In fact, lo and behold, TR is the one causing nightmares (not Darkrai! GASP!). *I see what you did there* When I saw they had a nightmare machine, I was semi-impressed. It doesn't dig holes? It's not a vacuum? Where did they get this technology and how does it work? My curiosity was piqued for sure.
Ta da!!! But seriously TR, where did you get it?
I was sort of amused at Jenny's reaction to being scammed. ^_^ It added Drama... and my favorite line from the episode.
IT'S ARRESTING TIME!!!
Then blah blah blah, TR is whipped which means no more nightmares. BUT YOU ARE SO WRONG!!! The Plot says no, we need more nightmares. So we get more nightmares.
AHHHHHH! WHY PLOT WHY!!!
Jenny, Ash & Co. go to New Moon Island to figure stuff out, but I was confused. I thought Cresselia was on Crescent (ETA:LOL I'M A LOSER) Full Moon Island, not New Moon. Why is this switched around? Convenience? I don't think it would really make a difference...huh.
Is it an angel? Is it Jesus? Is it the Real Plot?
NO! It's Cresselia! (who would be really fun at Discos and Raves)
WAIT! We need to add some more stuff, because nothing has happened yet!!! SWINUB! I CHOOSE YOU!!!
Awww... the little guy was trying so hard.
I really liked how Dawn encouraged Swinub, but then realizing the futility tried to call it off to protect it.
Nice to know she is learning something.
EVOLUTION!!! Yay, something interesting happened!
So Cresselia is saved and Swinub evolved, is it over? Nope, remember Plot wanted Darkrai to appear. So it does, and we have an EPIC BATTLE OF EPICNESS!!! ...eh... that lasts less than a minute. Really? All that "buildup" and "excitement" for a non-existent showdown? Sigh.

More evidence that Cresselia would indeed be great at dance parties.
Darkrai may even be impressed at her Bling
Then...It's over. Did this episode even happen? I don't know, I was blinded by the light of Cresselia's superior ability to sparkle and shine.
Ash is ready to go to the Disco now and show off some dance moves.
Perhaps this will be better than the Plot
