True Fans Must Haate
I just thought I'd mention this weird type of basher that I've encountered, mostly on that plethora of intelligence known as FanFiction.Net. Forgive me, right now I don't have a specific place to demonstrate this, but I'm sure many of you know what I mean.
Bashers that think just because you're a fan of something -usually a pairing-, you have to hate something else. For instance, I'm a big fan of Atemu x Kaiba in Yuugiou, which is a fairly popular pairing with heaps of Anzu-bashing. Now, some fans of this even go as far as to say that I'm not a 'true' Atemu x Kaiba fan because I like Anzu. What's up with that? Anzu has very little to do with the pairing. It's not even like Anzu and Atemu get together in the canon, and Anzu and Kaiba certainly don't. So why do Atemu x Kaiba fans have to hate Anzu? Why is it a requirement of being a 'true fan'? And if it's because Anzu is 'clingy' to Atemu (she doesn't seem that clingy to me...), why isn't it also a 'must' to hate Yuugi or Mokuba?
Even the old 'Seifer fans must hate Squall' things make more sense to me than this...
