Just quickly
In between the usual discussion of characters we love who keep on getting bashed, I thought I'd quickly actually mention one of the wonders of a community like this:
It proves you DON'T have to be mentally retarded to like these characters.
Seriously, I can't count the number of times I've heard people saying things like "WHAT? You like AERIS? Are you NUTS/GAY/SUFFERING FROM A FULL-FRONTAL LOBOTOMY?". Er, no. I do like Aeris. I'm quite mentally healthy, I don't see why my sexuality has any remote effect on the situation at hand (I may be straight, but it pisses me off when people think 'Wha? She defends a girl? MAYBE SHE FANCIES HER OMG'. Er, no. I have plenty of gay friends who don't defend people just for being fanciable), and I've nine GCSEs and 4 A-levels, all good, and am studying at university. OMG THE RETARDNESS.
