so last night did not go as expected at all.
first off there was mad drama involving my housemates and ex's making out at a party and such.so instead of 4 of us going out as planned,it ended up just being me and my buddy at the very last minute.we decided to go to the party, but couldn't be bothered dressing up.we got there, and sure enough we're the only freaks who were not dressed up.great.nothing like walking into a huge house party and feeling like everybody stops what they're doing and stares.lol.

after maybe 10 minutes or so,we were standing outside smoking cigarettes when all of a sudden we heard a huge screech and collison.i looked at my buddy and just had a gut feeling and said "that was my truck,i know it." sure enough,my truck (which had been parked the last one at the end of the driveway) had managed to be hit during a wreck.apparently a car full of drunk umass grrls were flying down the road and hit another pickup truck that was backing out of the driveway.the grrls hit that truck, which got slammed into my truck, which then hit the car in front of mine.super.
the cops come, the grrls are taken to the hospital, info is exchanged and now i have another 1000 bucks of damage on my truck.good stuff.needless to say after that i didn't feeli much like drinking or anything, because i knew i had to drive home with my rear end busted up.like i need any more excuses for the cops to pull me over.
my buddy and i stayed for a couple hours and headed home around 1ish.

as i've emntioned before,my new house is out in the boonies.we live like 10 minutes from town, and the roads are all really windy and dark(no streetlights at night).it's beautiful countryside, but not so beautiful to drive around on rainy nights.

so,here's where my night goes semi full circle.

at the party,i was in the wrong place at the wrong time.my truck got hit just by chance.like what is the likely hood that a car accident is going to take place in front of a house, and wreck a vehicle that is parked completely in the driveway!? but then on the way home,it seems as though i was in the right place, right time.
about a mile before our house,i noticed a car off the side of the road (down a hill)in the trees. there was absolutely no one else around, and nobody outside of the car.there were also no houses or streetlights around.i immediately pulled to the side of the road, and had my bro call 911.i ran across the street and down to the car.at this point i had absolutely no idea what i was walking into.i had no idea how long the car had been down there,or how many people were in there,or if people were dead or ok.
i ran up to the driver door and yelled "is anybody ok in there".i heard a young girl talking.boy,i was never so glad to hear somebody talk before.i have no idea how this is possible, but she was ok!
like, she could walk and was coherent and all that important stuff.her car was seriously injured.she had lost control, spun 180degrees,hit the guardrail facing the opposite direction, plowed down a tree, and slid down an embankment.like, she is one seriously lucky girl.
so in any case, the cops arrived after a few minutes and her family came too.they had to tow the car and stuff, but after we made sure that she was ok,we basically left and came home.

last night was some crazy shit.two car accidents, neither involving me,yet both directly affecting me.i am so relieved that everybody involved in all the accidents is ok.the grrls from the first one just had minor whip lash.but both of the accidents could have been gruesome, had luck not have played a part.that, and the fact that everybody was wearing seatbelts.i have no doubt that had the people in the two cars been unbuckeled, there would have been at least two grrls through the windshields.

now it's time to get the house prepared for trick or treaters.we bought a bunch of candy, but we have no idea if we will get any revelers in the neighborhood.i'm thinking we might,it's a very kid friendly area.but our outside lights aren't very good,so whether anyone tries to make the trek to the door it's anyones guess.it would be good for my heart to see lot's of little people in pretty costumes.

hope everyone has a safe and happy halloween.please drive safely!!!
