(no subject)
i'm starting to feel more settled in at my new house. it's actually kind of cute,and has alot of personality.i still manage to drive by it every time still,but anyways.it's now me and two friends sharing a 3 bedroom house with a huge basement,washer dryer,bar,fireplace,2 garages,huge backyard,kitchen,2 living rooms,1 bath. we also have a recording studio in the basement for their band. and i'm paying less than i was for my apartment rent.booyah.
the next big day is friday.ive gotta move all my shit out of the apt.(including my cats and hamsters!) and then we all have to survive the 2.5 hour drive back! now,that will be fun.right.
yesterday was my last day of work.that i think was one of the harder things from the last few days.at least as far as the relationship,there were issues.i didn't have any issues at work.it was just me and the doggies and kitties all day. i loved working at the animal rescue league. it was a demanding,but enjoyable job.
now telling them i had to move 3 hours away was not a fun thing.especially since my supervisor was my exs best friend since they were kids.
of course my supervisor wasn't able to look at the situation objectively and reamed me out and told me how pissed she was at me.real professional.
so i went over her head to the director of the entire agency and she was absolutely understanding.she said she'd give me great references and would love to have me back full time if i return to the area. so in the end,the head honcho is the only one that matters.shes my supervisors boss,so my supervisor can just bite me.
now i just need to find a job out here. if anyone knows of any local animal shelters hiring in the NoHo area let me know!
i really hope this rainy weather leaves soon,it makes it so hard to want to walk around job hunting.ive already looked online and in the papers,but i should just ask around. plus i need my truck to dry out well by friday so all my shit doesn't get soaked. stupid truck.
