Shantaram
I finished Shantaram earlier this week and I can honestly say it's one of the best novels I've read in years! I highly recomend it to everyone!
It's heavily based on the experiences of the author during the 1980s while on the run, following his escape from Pentridge Prison, and is absolutely amazing. His writing style is incredibly elegant, while describing some of the most extraordinary experiences.
I could wax lyrical about this for hours, but I still have plans for this evening so I'll simply sign of with another exhortation that everyone reading this who hasn't read this novel yet remedy that situation as soon as possible.
