I help tack platter tutus, made two kimonos, and helped with costumes for Cats this year. I did a lot things for the first time in my life.

How weird is that?

No wonder I am so tired these days, all my creativity has been dragged out of me kicking and screaming.

I had a man come into the store recently looking for a Halo costume. It pays to be a geek because I knew what he wanted but none exist commercially. And this is just for fun.

And I so glad I don't do things like this to people.

There's a conference at a local hotel. The theme for the dress up ball was Asterix. The winner was dressed as Obelix including a menhir. But most everyone cobbled, made, or rented something for the evening.

... it's tails. Worse, tails that need reinforcement with ribbon. At least they look stronger.

Four hours of frustrating work for a free meal, wine, tea, and ice cream and The Muppet Show.

Seems fair if only to help out a friend in need.

Been away and I promise to post about the movies I saw in Montreal.

Got back to work and it's been busy except on the 21st. (Yeah a CERTAIN books release killed my business! The day before was fine cause we had last minute rentals and sales but nada on Saturday. Go figure!)

Nothing like getting woken up at 7:30 AM to ruin your hard laid out plans. I am getting tense because I lost a whole afternoon of sewing. Now I just a couple of hours to assemble stuff this evening.

I am so glad I am going to be far away from a movie cinema this weekend. Very far away.

Never. Cosplaying. Ever. Again.

On a brighter note, Diggy and I are watching Fruits Basket to get in the mood for Anime North.
