Anime North 2018
Survived it.
Hotel was the Westin Airport - staff were nice, room was clean and not facing the airport for a change, or near an elevator. The hike to and from TCC was killer and I am planning on getting into Crowne Plaza International Airport.
Did sushi dinner on Friday for a change at Sushi-Ya. Same great service.
For Saturday night Masquerade I made Kyubey from Puella Magi Modaka Magica in mascot style for nephew. It came out pretty good. Got my first taste of judging. Nephew was satisfied with the costume and the reaction he got on stage. Will add LED lights for Halloween.
One of my panel had problems due to late start and one panel was in the wee hours of the morning but we had a couple of dozen people show up. People are recognizing me from the first of my panels more and more.
Made a closer connection with another nephew and I am encouraging him to get into anime. He said he might be interested in doing Masquerade next year.
So this was the most exhausted I have felt at Anime North due to me breaking rule #1 for conventions 6 hours sleep. I was probably get 4-5 hours sleep.
