Asian Genres Galore.
After Clamp Fest we waited for sonic_assassin to come by so we could watch more Asian movies in his collection. We watched The Heroic Trio (1993), a over the top comic book action movie with 3 amazing female leads - Maggie Cheung, Anita Mui and Michelle Yeoh. Why can Hong Kong do female heroes but Hollywood can't? We followed up with Pray (2005) a rather well done ghost story. What starts out as kidnapping for ransom gets rather weird when the kidnappers find out their kidnapped victim has been dead for a year. And the little girl is eerily creepy.
